Do you live in Gotham or are you visiting NYC and curious about the swinging lifestyle options? There is a bit of everything. You have strip clubs, swinger clubs, underground clubs and even a sex museum in New York City.
NYC Strip Clubs
There are so many strip clubs we can’t name them all. You have the Hustler Club, Rick’s Caberet, Flashdancers and so many more. There are also many burlesque clubs like Slipper Room, House of Yes, Le Scandal and a bunch more. Honestly, we prefer the underground strip clubs over the public ones. These are strip clubs that rent out empty places and then email you the secret address and password for that night. It’s not always easy to get on these email lists so you will need to do some internet sleuthing and go through a bit of a screening process but if you really want a strip club experience, it is likely your best bet to go with the underground strip clubs. These can be a good option if you are new to swinging and still slowly getting comfortable with the sexy lifestyle. If you are looking to fully enjoy the swinging lifestyle in NYC, you probably aren’t interested in strip clubs so let’s focus on the sexier lifestyle options.
New York Swinger Clubs
Yup, NYC has a bunch of nearby swinger clubs. They can be nice but they are definitely not as good as the swinger clubs outside NYC. New York tends to be a bit more of a singles scene and suburbia tends to be more of a couples scene, which is an oversimplified answer why such a great city like NYC has just average swinger clubs.
La Trapeze – CLOSED
Yes, it is closed. No, it is not coming back. It was a well known swinger club in NYC which is why a lot of people ask about it. Don’t worry, there are many great lifestyle options still open.
Bowery Bliss – CLOSED
The building they were in was torn down so they are currently closed down and looking for a new location. This swinger club too often had more gawkers than actual swingers. To be fair there are some great swingers who went to this club but also visiting tourists and curiosity seekers that went to look at swingers plus single men who were allowed on most nights. If you have an exhibitionist streak, this was a potential option for you.
Checkmate
Much smaller than Bowery Bliss but a similar experience. This can be a better option for newbies than Bowery Bliss since the smaller venue can be less intimidating. On the flip side, the smaller size also means there are fewer people to flirt with and make a connection. Checkmate does not allow single men. Like Bowery Bliss it is usually not the best option if there is a sex party available.
Caligula
This swinger club in Queens is open to couples, single ladies and select single men (who aren’t allowed unescorted in the play areas). It attracts a diverse crowd from local neighborhoods. It is best to attend when they are hosting a SLS swingers party which tends to attract larger than normal crowds.
Pendulum
This is more for fetish people and less of a traditional swinger club. This is a good option for Fetlife couples. Depending on which type of fetish party they are hosting, sex may or may not be allowed/encouraged. Pay attention to their website so you know what specific type of fetish party you are attending at Pendulum otherwise you can show up in your leather chaps for a Caribbean BBW party.
NYC Underground Sex Parties
The swinger clubs are open many nights each and every week in their own dedicated spaces. The sex parties are usually only open once a month at a rented location. Generally, more people enjoy these sex parties over the swinger clubs. Just be careful which sex party you pick. For best results, you should stick with these veteran sex party organizers that have many years of experience.
Killing Kittens
This upscale sex party started in London where it developed a great reputation. Unfortunately, the USA parties don’t seem to be as great with many underwhelmed people sharing their opinions. Killing Kittens does a great job marketing this party but the parties are just OK from the feedback we have. Their fees are much higher than most NYC lifestyle parties.
Chemistry
Great sex party option for NYC and it skews a bit younger (20s to 40s) than traditional swinger parties. Usually has between 150-200 people per event. Many NYCers avoid the clubs and just attend the monthly Chemistry parties. They have live music, hot performances & awesome crowds. This party is open to couples, single ladies and a few handpicked single men.
School of Sex’s Behind Closed Doors (BCD)
Another fan favorite and they offer a complimentary introduction seminar for newbies before each party. Like Chemistry they also skew a bit younger (20s to 40s) than traditional swinger parties. They host a party about once a month and do not allow single men or bisexual men. Party quality can vary between just good & amazing depending on the crowd that night.
House of Scorpio
Hosts many different types of sexy parties but not necessarily sex parties. These events range from pansexual kissing fests, to sexy literature readings, to pop-up strip cubs, to fetish nights. This is not a traditional swinger sex party option but it is definitely a fun & sexy opportunity.
Intimate NYC
These are smaller and literally more intimate events with 40 or fewer people allowed that skews to late 20s & early 30s. They screen all people to make sure they will be a good match for these events. If you have tried other swinging events and didn’t like it you might want to try these very appropriately named intimate parties.
Labyrinth
This is more of a sex party and less of a swinger party. They allow single men every night and the single men often take over the atmosphere. This is a good option if you are looking to play with single men otherwise you will probably enjoy another party more than this place.
Taste
Friendly place that is more like a vanilla lounge and less like a swinger club. It is a bit of a smaller venue trying to stay under the radar after being publicly attacked by angry neighbors who tried to close it down a few years ago. We have not heard much feedback from people that want to revisit this sex party but that just might be due to this low profile.
SNCTM
This is more of an erotic sexual performance art and and less of a traditional swinger event. Very expensive and very exclusive. We are talking over $1000 party fees. They do have very good looking models and erotic performers that will make you think it was designed by cirque de solei.
PLUS PERSONALLY CONNECTING
If you don’t like any of those sex parties or more likely they just aren’t scheduled for the nights you are visiting New York City, then remember you also can personally connect with other swingers.
There are many, many profiles of local NYC swingers on SwingLifestyle. You can also fire up your phone to check out 3Fun & Tinder to find other people open to this sexy lifestyle. You can find a sexy personal match to check out the Sex Museum and do something sexier together.
PHEW – THAT’S A LOT OF OPTIONS
