There is a bit of strategy when it comes to booking the right cabin for your swinger cruise, especially if you are on a bigger boat with plenty of different options. To help you figure out the right room, start by asking yourself what parts of the boat you will use most often. Many of these ships are a full city block long and over 10 stories tall. You don’t want to be spending all of your time walking the hallways or waiting for elevators. Better to pick a room near your favorite areas like the pool or bar. Whatever you will be visiting most often is where you want to consider having your home base.
Seasickness
If motion sickness/seasickness is a factor, try to stay towards the lower part of the boat towards the center where there is less motion. Honestly, seasickness is not much of a factor for most guests on larger ships. There are many helpful motion sickness medicines to handle this situation, but pick a cabin on the lower levels if you are worried about it.
Noise
On a swinger cruise, there is going to be constant activity. Some people will wake up early to use the gym or enjoy the sunrise. Other swingers will be in the disco till late at night or the playrooms till even later. To minimize noise irritations, avoid the cabins that are too close to the elevators because of the extra foot traffic or right below a pool deck, which can be extra noisy with people moving chairs around or partying.
Introverts/Shy
If you are an introverted swinger, consider booking a room near the group activities that interest you the most. This will provide you an easy way to stop in your private cabin & recharge your batteries quickly. You don’t want to have to walk too far from the group fun you love but drains you.
Room Types
There is also a good bit of strategy picking the right type of room for you.
Interior Rooms
These are often the smallest but most affordable cabins. Having an interior room means no window, which many people dislike because they want a sea view while cruising. We don’t think of no window as “the glass is half empty,” rather we are optimists and think “the glass is half full” because no window means no glaring sunshine waking you too early after a late sexy night in the playroom. Interior rooms are great for better sleeping, but you won’t want to spend much time awake in them. These tend to sell out faster on swinger cruises because many swingers are only sleeping in their rooms and using the themed playrooms for their sexy fun.
Oceanview Rooms
These tend to be good options for passengers who struggle with seasickness. They tend to be lower on the ship, which means less motion, and you can look at the horizon to help calm down your body. They are still on the smaller side, so not best if you are looking to host other couples in your private room. That’s not a problem since there are great playrooms that you can use with your new friends.
Balcony Rooms
Having your own private balcony is a true treat. It is going to cost more money, but the memories of sipping your morning coffee together and sharing a private balcony rendezvous at night are worth some extra money. Balcony rooms are also bigger, making it easier if you want to invite a couple back to your cabin for some private playtime. It will cost more money but is a great option if you enjoy hosting couples or prefer more private time for just you & your special someone.
Suites
If you can afford a suite on a swinger cruise, you can definitely afford to send us a nice bottle of wine for taking the time to share all of these helpful tips. Seriously, suites are amazing. They are great for everything. The views are awesome. The butler/concierge service makes your trip practically stress-free. The freedom of being able to invite people back to your suite is so nice. Couples are often not fans of squeezing into the smaller cabins but are much more eager to visit a suite. If you have the money, it is worth the upgrade.
Handicap Accessible Rooms
We weren’t joking when we said these cruises are very welcoming. If you need a handicap accessible room with a larger bathroom for your special needs, they are available on these cruise ships. The lifestyle and these cruise are very inclusive.
For the best room selection, you will need to book well in advance. Swinger cruises are in high demand, and they usually start booking cabins about three years in advance. You don’t need to pay all the money upfront, but you will need to make a deposit when booking. You can visit the swinger cruise websites to see which rooms are already booked for each cruise.
